I <3 Penang!!

Day: Friday 13th July evening

I was very excited as today will be the begining of the long a waited penang trip!! I was working but my mind could not focus as all i could tik of is the Penang Trip. After work Hua and I quickly rush home and shower and thats when just nice my Sis returned home. We left home at around 710pm and went to the nearby provision shop to get some stuff for the trip. As i was leaving the shop then i Suddenly remembered the bus tickets was at my other wallet which i did not bring!! (Dreng! Dreng! Dreng!)

I rushed home to get the tickets and then rushed to the MRT station where hua and my sis were waiting. We waited and waited but there was no cab and it was around 730pm. Then we made a call and took the MRT instead and to our suprise the MRT was there just in time when we reached the platform. I really wan to thank the people tat created the MRT. When we reached Lavenda as usual Fr3sh was the early bird AGAIN!!! Then i received a msg frm Nue tat she will join us at the hawker centre. We arrived at the Hawker centre earlier then the agreed time surprisingly. We had our dinner and when we are about to finished, Yao called me tat she has reached. Nvr expect our timing soooo gam. Yao had her little adventure to before she came and meet us. She says tat as she was waiting at the bus stop to take a bus to meet us and saw a couple of guys injecting stuff to themselves. She quickly left and made a police report before taking a cab down.

Day: Friday 13th July Nite
Then we went to get ourselves registered and boared the bus.

We tried to ask ppl to exchage seats wif us but was unsuccessful.
Before the bus went off and waitin for the passengers that was late, We were chating noisely among ourselves and created a mini "fish Market" atmosphere in the bus. The whole bus is filled wif our voices. Then when the bus was leaving then we begin to settle down. The television was showing these movie that was called "basic". I guessed tat no one was interested in the show. (except for some one who was to short to see pass my head.) Then we crossed the customs and it was time to sleeep.

Day: Saturday 14th July Morning

We have reached penang at around 7 close to 8 am. When we alighted frm the busstop we found out that cover was still at home. We walked to the nearby KTM station to wash up and then came cover and lego's cars. Fr3sh(front seat),Hua,Pheng,Nue,Yao went in cover's car, Me(Front seat),Zen,Moory,I SO went in Lego's car. We went and eat dim sum for breakfast. The food was really very good and cheap. And to my surprise COVER ate very little!! Zen had and upset stomach so also took very little food. I myself not being shy ate to my fill. :p Then we went and took a boat over to penang. I was very excited as this is the 1st time i took a ship via car.>.< We took 2 photos on the ship which is wat cover sent to us. ^^

Then we were brought to this museum/temple. It was very sunny and hot by then we reached the temple and the sky was bright blue wif little clouds. We try to take some photos but i guessed it was just tooo bright. In the museum we saw tis funny old wooden door and tried to open it but too bad was locked on the other side. Then we went to the main temple and saw tis tour group taking photos on the steps. Tat inspired us to take photos too. We then went in the temple and saw huge paintings on the walls. The paintings was very nice but sadly one of the paintings could not be restored. We went further into the temple and saw more wall paintings about the 8 immortals, jiang zi ya, blah, blah.. Then tats when we started making fun on the paintings. The 8 immotals painting was being critisied the most. After a hearty laugh we left the temple and we went MAKAN AGAIN!!!

Day: Saturaday 14th July Afternoon

We reached tis road side stall and ordered penang laksa, Fried Kuay Teow and Prawn noodles. I felt the food was fantastic!! Fr3sh was abit reserved as he was afraid tat there was no toilet around i guessed or was it the Big Chicken Pau. lol. Cover also intro us to tis drink made out of this little green fruit. It taste like sour plum but hv tis raw fruit taste. It was very nice and i must say a very good thirst quencher

After the meal, We drove to the kong si Temple. However before we drove off lego opened his Vicks ointment and to his surprised due to the hot weather, it has turned into water!! Yes Really Water as in liquid. It spilled all over his pants and hands and car was filled wif the minty smell off vicks. Tat really woke us up!! Then we begin chatting and on the way we loosed cover!! lol and we need to make a U-Turn and we are back on track. When we reached, it was time to trek up the mountain!! We started of quite full of energy but as we were half way there i guessed for some of us our legs are turning like Jelly. Luckily half way up there was tis tortise pond where i took a few shots as we rested abit and there we saw these 2 tortise mating. The shells collided and made a hollow thumping sound. Rear sight to see soo lucky of us.

Then we continued to trek up the steps to the temple. When we reached the entrace at the bottom of the temple, i rushed to the nearby toilet to wash my face and cool down. The weather was really really hot!! i even took my bottle of mouth wash to rinse my mouth hoping the cooling feeling will cool me down. Then i ran to the temple shop and brought a cool can of yi bai hao and glup down the drink. It was soo shiok!! As the cooling mouth was effect had not weared off.

Then cover went and brought us the tickets to the inclined lift. As we were waiting for the que,
A few of us was standing infront of this giant cooler enjoying the cool breeze. Too bad did not take any photos there if not it would hv been a funny sight. We went in the air conditioned lift and went up the temple. Then it was the hot sun again!! There we saw tis huge Statue of goddess of mercy and i also over heared the abbot "selling his gua to people". Saying everyting will be made out of granite and tat includes the beams of the roof that will be covering the goddess. Maybe when it is completed we will go and see the structure again?? There will be altogether 16 pillars surrounding goddess to support the roof and each pillar has a diameter of the height of our Nue. ^^ Just imagine how grand the structure will be!! The abbot was sooo sure tat it will enter the world records.

We left the temple and begin out trek down the mountain again. Nue and Yao saw tis Tissue box holder made out of bamboo and was quite interested in it and asked the boss how much was it. The boss quoted 28rm and we left immediately and as we are leaving he was shouting and lowering his price till about 5rm. But we ignored him. We then went further down and saw the same tissue box and tis time the lady quoted 16rm?? i cannot really remember. Then the war begin and they started biding down the price and Fr3sh really very experiened and they managed to bid the price till 12rm i tik. Then Nue brought another 2 tissue box holder made out of cloth tis time. (Wats wif the facination wif tissue box holder?? i really dunno ?_?). Then we rushed down the hill as everyone was waitin for us. Then cover brought us to tis famous penang Laksa stall. It was really nice and Yao finished a bowl. I felt the fishy was a bit too strong for me though. Then cover took us to take the cable car tat will take us to penang moutain. When we reached there it was sooo crowded, and we decided to cancel the plan and go in the morning instead. Then we drove to the chalet to check in and rest.

Ok i will stop here for now as i feel tat u all will be bored by now and i will continue the post and another day. ^^
